THE NEXT WOLVERLEY MEMORIAL HALL CAR BOOT SALES WILL TAKE PLACE ON 5th SEPTEMBER and 3rd OCTOBER

THE CAR BOOT SALES planned for 15th AUGUST is CANCELLED

The Memorial Hall Committee met on 10th August to discuss how and when the next CAR BOOT SALE can take place safely in accordance with the Government’s Covid-19 regulations.

The Committee has decided that it is unable to meet all the conditions required by the Government’s guidance for the safe provision of outdoor markets (which is the part of the guidance that relates to Car Boot Sales) by 15th August.

This decision was taken after a thorough Risk Assessment was carried out to look at the changes required before the volunteers who support the Memorial Hall and its activities are able to provide a safe environment for future Car Boot Sales.

The Risk Assessment identified a significant number of actions that need to be taken to ensure appropriate measures are put in place to meet all the relevant Covid-19 regulations and the Charity’s insurer’s requirements, including those for social distancing, cleaning and hygiene.

It will take time for the volunteers who organise the Car Boot sale to make all the changes required so the Committee has decided it is necessary to cancel the Car Boot Sale planned for 15th August to provide sufficient time to have the appropriate arrangements in place so the next Car BOOT Sale can take place safely on 5th September.

Because of the change in the August Car Boot Sale date to September 5th the final Car Boot Sale for this year will take place on 3rd October not 19th September.
