The Wolverley Memorial Hall remains closed
The Memorial Hall Committee has met to discuss how and when the Hall can be re-opened, following the relaxation of some of the Government’s Covid-19 regulations on 4th July.
The Committee has decided that it is unable to meet all the conditions required by the Government’s guidance for the safe re-opening of Village and Community Halls at the present time.
The Committee is arranging for a thorough risk assessment of the Hall and is updating its conditions for hire to ensure that the Hall meets all the relevant Covid-19 requirements, including those for social distancing, cleaning and hygiene.
The multi-use nature of the hire of the Hall by a range of different hirers presents a particular set of issues that need to be addressed jointly by the volunteers that are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Hall and the Hirers before the Hall can be safely re-opened.
We will make contact with all current and prospective hirers to agree how the additional Covid-19 conditions and restrictions can be met and to agree how we jointly ensure the Hall provides a safe environment for all users when it re-opens.
We recognise that the Hall provides a valued venue for local groups and residents and we will provide a further update on the timing of the re-opening of the Hall when the risk assessments and discussions with hirers of the Hall have been completed.
